  • Best Methods for Reheating Fried Pies

    1. Oven or Toaster Oven Method

This is generally the best way to reheat fried pies, as it crisps the crust while warming the filling evenly.

    • Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Arrange the fried pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. For best results, space them so they aren’t touching.
    • Optional: Lightly brush or spray the pies with a small amount of oil to enhance crispiness.
    • Bake for 8–12 minutes. Check after 8 minutes; the pastry should turn golden, and the filling should be heated through. Flip the pies over halfway through the heating.
    • Rest for 2–3 minutes before serving. This allows the filling to settle and prevents burns from hot steam.

Microwave Method (Not Recommended, But Possible)

The microwave is the fastest, but it can make the crust chewy or soggy. This method is best when you’re short on time.

    • Place the pie on a microwave-safe plate.
    • Cover with a paper towel to absorb excess moisture.
    • Heat on medium power for 20–30 seconds for a small pie, or up to 60 seconds for larger pies.
    • Check the temperature and continue in 10-second bursts if needed.
    • Optional: After microwaving, crisp the pie in a hot dry skillet for 1 minute per side.
